Adult Programming & Community Outreach Coordinator (half-time)
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking person to fill this newly-created position. Our new colleague will create, support, and manage engaging creative, entertaining, and educational programs for adults. Digital literacy (the confidence and skills to use the Internet and smart devices) is one of our programming priorities.
This team member also develops and maintains partnerships with other community agencies and organizations to provide enrichment activities for adults.
Curiosity, a love of learning, and a sense of fun are key attributes of our new coworker. This position combines event planning with a strong desire to enrich the lives of people with a variety of free programs.
Familiarity with social services or a community nonprofit is welcome, as well as experience in creative projects. It is assumed that no candidate will be proficient in all aspects of the essential responsibilities, knowledge, and skills; the library supports professional self-development and creative growth.
Schedule: must be flexible to work events and programs; 20-24 hours per week, on average. This is a year-round position.
Library Assistant (Circulation Desk – part time)
Do you love working with lots of people? Are you looking for a part-time job that is a little different every day? If you love books, movies, the Internet, and device apps, this may be your job! You will literally help put the books in the patron’s hands and they will thank you!
A Library Assistant is an essential customer service role. We train you for all library-specific tasks.
All library staff members are expected to be comfortable and proficient with computers and the Internet.
Schedule: Shifts possible during the day or evenings plus Saturday rotation; 15-18 hours per week, on average.
