Adult Programming & Community Outreach Coordinator (half-time)
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking person to fill this newly-created position. Our new colleague will create, support, and manage engaging creative, entertaining, and educational programs for adults. Digital literacy (the confidence and skills to use the Internet and smart devices) is one of our programming priorities.
This team member also develops and maintains partnerships with other community agencies and organizations to provide enrichment activities for adults.
Curiosity, a love of learning, and a sense of fun are key attributes of our new coworker. This position combines event planning with a strong desire to enrich the lives of people with a variety of free programs.
Familiarity with social services or a community nonprofit is welcome, as well as experience in creative projects. Interest in current events and curiosity about many topics are essential for success in this role.
It is assumed that no candidate will be proficient in all aspects of the essential responsibilities, knowledge, and skills; the library supports professional self-development and creative growth.
Schedule: We create a flexible schedule that works for the employee and our busy schedule of events. Our programming calendar requires the APC to work 6-8 evenings and 1-2 Saturdays (half-days) per month in order to support events and programs for adults. This is a half-time position and averages 24-26 hours per week. This is a year-round position.
