Let’s create a community of Readers!  Our Summer Program for Adults offers several options.  Register to get started and then select the activities that you prefer. No stress – it’s Summer, after all! No obligations.  REGISTRATION HERE

We are offering two book-inspired conversation groups and a Saturday Movie Matinee with a musical theme.

Summer Reading begins June 10 and August. 19.  Register anytime before August 12 to be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing for $100.

Why register? You will be eligible for several cash prizes and you will help the library measure how many of you are READERS!

How it all works

Summer Reading runs June 10 to August 19.
To be eligible for any prize, you must have a valid BPL library card and registered for Adult Summer Reading.  

For each book, ebook, or audiobook you read, you will make an entry on the Reading Log and fill out a Chance Ticket to be eligible for the Grand Prize or the smaller prizes. Printed Reading Log sheets are available at the Circulation Desk or you can print your own. Fill out Chance Tickets at the library or download this sheet if you are reading digital items. 

Note: To count, the items you read much be checked out from the library or one of the library’s online services (hoopla or Libby).  Take a screenshot if you check out an ebook or digital audiobook. Honor system!

What a little challenge?  Try the Readers Bingo.  You can cross off squares by reading or attending a library event.  Pick up the sheet at the library or print one.

Readers who hand in their Reading Log and/or Bingo Card will receive 2 extra tickets for the Grand Prize Drawing, and will be entered in the two Special Drawings for $25 each.

Summer Program Options – The program is super flexible!

    • You can opt to just read and log your progress.
    • Try the Readers Bingo.
    • Attend the No Spoilers Book Club or one of the Saturday films.

All the fun of getting together to chat about favorite books without the commitment to read the same book.  Join us to talk about what you are reading and get others excited about trying a new author.  Just remember – NO SPOILERS!
