How to Sign Up for Beanstack & Start Earning Points

What to Expect

This summer, learning is an adventure. Participants can earn points all season long by:

• Reading books
• Attending library programs
• Participating in fundraising efforts
• Completing fun challenges

Points can then be used to “buy” entries into the Summer Learning Prize Raffles—the more you participate, the more chances you have to win.

Step-by-Step Instructions

• Step 1: Visit Beanstack
  Go to the Beanstack website or download the Beanstack Tracker app from the App Store or Google Play.
• Step 2: Find Our Library Partnership
  Search: Columbia County Libraries
• Step 3: Create an Account
  (video tutorial)
  Click “Register” and choose:
  – “Register an Individual or Family” (parents/caregivers can create family accounts) or
  – “Register a Class or Group”
  Fill in your information.
• Step 4: Add Readers
  Add yourself and/or your children to your account. Multiple readers can be managed under one login.
• Step 5: Join the Summer Learning Challenges by age group
  Select the appropriate “Unearth a Story” Summer Learning Challenge and click “Join Challenge” for each reader. Challenges are broken up into age categories.
  – Preschool 0-5
  – School Age 6-12
  – Teens 13-17
  – Adults 18+
• Step 6: Start Logging Activities (video tutorial)
  Earn points by:
  – Logging reading time or books
  – Checking in at library programs
  – Completing special activities and challenges
  – Participating in fundraising efforts (video tutorial for participating in the readathon)
• Step 7: Earn Rewards Along the Way
  • Every 60 points earns 1 raffle ticket
  • Ages 0–17: Earn a free book at 300 points
  • Ages 18+: Continue earning 1 raffle ticket for every 60 points
  • The program is considered complete at 1,500 points
• Step 8: Use Points for Prize Raffles
  Redeem your points to “purchase” raffle entries. Choose which prizes you’d like to enter for—the more points you earn, the more chances you get.
